Withdrawing money
Withdrawal runs register a destination, request, we review, funds are sent. The fee comes out of your balance on top of the amount you withdraw.
Not available to customers residing in Japan
In Japan we offer the purchase of SGP Points and their use for your own spending and payments. Withdrawal (cash-out) is outside the scope of our Japan-facing service.
SGP Points are intended for your own payments within our service. They expire 180 days after they are issued, and they are not intended for remittance, transfer to third parties, or cash-out. Please see our Terms and Conditions for the full conditions.
This page describes the service for customers outside Japan. If you are unsure whether it applies to you, please open a support ticket.
How to withdraw
-
Register a destination
Use "Withdrawal methods" in the menu. The account holder name must match the name registered on your account.
-
Choose a wallet and amount
Only wallets with a balance above zero appear in the list. Entering an amount shows the fee and the total.
-
Submit the request
The amount leaves your balance at this point. We then review it before sending the funds.
The fee is added, not deducted
This is the most commonly misunderstood point.
What leaves your balance is the withdrawal amount plus the fee. The fee is not taken out of the amount you requested.
So if your balance is 10,000 and you try to withdraw 10,000, you will be short by the fee and see an error. To empty a wallet, enter the balance minus the fee. The exact fee appears as soon as you type an amount.
"Insufficient balance"
| Cause | What to do |
|---|---|
| Amount plus fee exceeds the balance | Enter a slightly smaller amount |
| The wrong wallet is selected | Switch to the wallet that holds the funds |
| A transaction is still processing | Check your history for pending withdrawals or transfers |
Minimums and maximums
Each withdrawal method has its own minimum and maximum per request. Amounts outside that range are rejected — stay within the range shown.
Where daily or monthly caps apply, reaching one blocks further requests until the next day or month.
How long it takes
After you submit, we review the request before sending funds. This review is not automatic and can take time depending on the details. Arrival then depends on the receiving bank's processing schedule.
Track progress under "Withdrawal history".
Cancelling a request
You cannot cancel a request yourself. We may be able to stop it if funds have not yet been sent, so please open a support ticket as soon as possible, quoting the reference shown in your withdrawal history.
About the destination account
Withdrawals can only be sent to an account in your own name. Third-party accounts, including family members', are not permitted. If a name mismatch is found, the withdrawal is held until the matter is resolved.
