When social sharing does not work
When social sharing does not work
Below are the checks for each symptom, in the order worth trying. Most problems are solved somewhere in this list.
Nothing posts to any network
- 01Check the visibilityMembers only and Only me posts are never shared. Social networks are open to anyone, so only Public posts go out.
- 02Check the networks are tickedThe selection is made fresh for every post. Your previous choice is not carried over.
- 03Check your connectionsNetworks you have not connected do not appear in the selection at all.
Only some networks fail
The cause differs by network.
| Network | Common cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No image, or still a personal account | Attach at least one image. Switch the account to business or creator | |
| Admin rights on the Page were removed | Reconnect and select the Page again | |
| Telegram | The bot is not an admin of the channel | Add the bot as an administrator |
| Bluesky | A login password was pasted instead of an app password | Issue an app password and paste that |
| X (Twitter) | The same text was sent repeatedly in a short period | Wait, change the wording, and try again |
A connection drops on its own
For networks connected through a permission screen, the key stops working when:
- The connection is revoked from the network's own "connected apps" settings
- The password on that network is changed
- The key reaches its expiry
In every case, pressing Connect again in the list restores it. Your posts and settings are kept, so nothing needs to be recreated.
Images do not appear
If you attached an image but it did not reach the network, check:
- The upload had finished before you saved the post
- The file is JPEG or PNG
- The file is not unusually large
Some networks use only the first image. Put the one you want seen at the front.
Undoing a post
Once something has gone out to a network, it cannot be recalled from here. Delete it in that network's own app or website. Deleting the post on this service does not remove what is already on the networks.
If none of this helps
Include these three things when you contact us. It usually means we can identify the cause without a second exchange.
- Which networks are affected, all of them
- The message shown on screen, word for word
- Which networks succeeded and which failed
